The Branch recognises that true Gospel work is a combination of spreading the message of Jesus Christ and helping those in need. Therefore we as a body find it important to share what we have been given with others, to help promote and build His Kingdom. We have a number of projects and organisations where we give financial and prayer support and encouragement.

Friends of Ashley is a ministry that endeavours to
go out and befriend the detainees in Ashley Youth Detention Centre near Deloraine.

The ministry is made up of people from a number of churches in Launceston. Small groups make visits, usually on Sundays, 2 to 3 times a month and minister in order to give some hope for the future (Eternal future). It is a challenging but special ministry in that there is a high turnover of youth through the centre and contacts are often short.

It is our constant prayer that the Holy Spirit might open and prepare hearts for the Gospel of Salvation. The ministry, which has been active since 1998 and has been visiting on a regular basis, is always looking for new people to get involved.

Please continue to pray for this ministry and for the work in reaching lost souls.
